The Arizona Ubuntu Linux Local Community Team and the Phoenix Linux Users Group would like to help you get the most out of your computer. If you are tired of paying for an Operating System that gets slower as time goes by. If you are tired of an Operating System that gets Viruses, Trojan Horses, Spy Ware, and other Malware. If you want to get more life out of that old PC that just can't seem to keep up: we may have a FREE solution for you. Linux is a free, stable, and complete Operating System that doesn't have the issues that some of the most popular systems have. We can install Linux on your PC alone or have it run along side your current OS so you can compare systems. Many PCs that are too old to run the latest versions of Windows can be revived by installing a version of Linux. Installations can be tailored to suit your needs and hardware, in most cases.

Software Freedom Day needs Volunteers!!
Software Freedom Day is coming up again soon. PLUG and the AZ LoCo will be working together to do something to celebrate this. If you are interested at all in helping with this please let Scott Gwin know by emailing j.scott.gwin@ubuntu.com and/or emailing Dennis Kibbe at denninsk@linuxquestions.net. More info can be found at:
http://softwarefreedomday.org/ . Info may be coming in the near future at the PLUG website: http://plug.phoenix.az.us/.
Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Our goal in this celebration is to educate the worldwide public about of the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, in government, at home, and in business -- in short, everywhere! The non-profit organization Software Freedom International coordinates SFD at a global level, providing support, giveaways and a point of collaboration, but volunteer teams around the world organize the local SFD events to impact their own communities.
Sunday night meeting
The team meeting has been changed back to 2100 MST again due to the request of many team members and a vote taken in the meeting. Please join us - it's fun and it's your opportunity to voice your wants/needs/opinions about how this LoCo is run. It's also a fun way to get involved, to get acquainted, and to find out what is happening with this Ubuntu and this LoCo.
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS CDs are now available.

Hey everyone,
I was late in ordering our 10.04 CDs but they arrived today. If you want/need Ubuntu/Kubuntu/ and/or Server CDs please respond to this email with your Name and shipping address. It would also be nice if you could help with the cost of shipping as it will cost me to send them to you. In the PHX valley they will be available free at upcoming Installfest and PLUG east side meeting and east side Stammtische.
